Some Frequently Asked Questions

Are the castles clean?

Yes, they are. You would be surprised how many times we hear this question. Our castles are cleaned continuously. When we remove the castle from your premises, it is checked for cleanliness, and any marks are removed. The castles are regularly cleaned with a commercial jetwash all over. All we ask is that you look after the castle and keep it as clean as possible.

How do we get our castle?

Bouncingbees Bouncy Castles will deliver and set up your Castle and ensure it is clean and in good working condition well before your party starts and come back to take it down after the party is over. Set up can take from 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the unit. The castles can take between 15 and 35 minutes to dismantle, again, depending on their size.

What type of surface do I need?

The safest surface is a level grassy area, however, bark chippings or similar are acceptable. We will not be able to set up any of our castles on tarmac or concrete surfaces for safety reasons. We may need to survey the site whatever the surface, before we accept your booking.

How much space do I need?

This depends on the size of the unit you are hiring. A 12ft x 12ft castle will fit into most back gardens and need an area at least 14ft wide and 14 ft high, and at least 25 ft back to front to allow access onto the castle. A 20ft x 21 ft castle will need an area at least 25ft x 30ft with no trees or anything overhead for at least 20 ft.

I want to hire a hall for my party, can I still have a castle?

Yes, as long as the hall is big enough to safely house the castle. We can supply crash mats, and our colourful sandbags will hold the castle safely in place. Electric fans however do make a noise while they are running, but, dont worry, they wont drown out the sounds of your children!

What kind of power is required?

All of our units have electric blowers and these plug into a standard household outlet. We supply 30 metre power cords. If you have no power supply within 30 metres, we can supply you with one of our Generators.

I have no electricity where I want the castle, can I still hire one?

We can supply you with a generator to run your Castle. Our Generators come ready filled and have large fuel tanks that will allow your castle to stay inflated for over 13 hours at a time. An extra charge may be made for a generator, and a deposit may be required.

Are they safe?

Yes. Our Bouncy Castles are manufactured to specific industry standards by reputable manufacturers. They are all safety tested and maintained to the highest standards.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Not normally, no. We only ask for a deposit if your booking is for a long way in advance. Deposits are non refundable except in  exceptional circumstances such as bad weather on the day of the booking. After we take your booking, we will normally send you a letter that will confirm your booking with us.

Thats great,how do I book one?

Thats easy, just call Bouncingbees Bouncy Castles on 01227 261143 or 0779 687011. We generally have staff available to answer phones at all times, but some of the older ones need a nap in the day and cant always hear the phone when it rings, so if you leave a message on our answer machine, they will call you when they wake up!!  Or you can click on the e mail link and send us details of the dates and castle you want. We can usually respond to your requests almost immediately, but there could be times when there may be a delay.

What if I have to cancel?

No Problem. Just give us a call, there is NO cancellation fee. However, we would appreciate as much notice as possible so we have a chance to rent your Bouncy Castles and/or other Inflatables to someone else, we usually have a waiting list.

How do I know if I am hiring my Castle from a reputable company?

Bouncingbees Bouncy Castles and Balloons are founder members of the British Inflatable Hirers Association  ( BIHA ) and also members of the National Association of Inflatable Hirers. These are organisations setup to promote safe and consistant working practices as laid out by the Health and Safety Executive, within our field of business.
